Thekkady (Periyar)

Periyar wildlife sanctuary, an important tourist attraction in Kerala is located in Thekkady. The submerged trees in Periyar national park is an iconic view of Thekkady. The dense evergreen forests are home to many wild animals like elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs.
